After Haavok announced in this Thread, that a German Database is fairly easy to implement, i extended my subscription today.

I am not using Carbonite at the moment, because i reached Level 70 with my Hunter and i am currently mainly farming Minerals to push my Eng. Trade Skill. And there are many other AddOns which are more helpfull when it comes to farming.

I am using Gatherer, Route and MobMap, to find and remember the "best" Places/Routes for farming runs. We all know, MobMap integration in Carbonite's Map & Database is not yet done. And when i use Gatherer & Route to let them display Mineral places/routes, i have to keep pressed the ALT-Key down, to see the Routes on my Map.

Ok, Carbonite can also remember Mineral locations, but i cannot search the Places-Database or share it with my mates... and Route cannot use the Carbonite Database...

But instead of hammering the Forum with my personel whishes, i collected them until i deceided to switch off Carbonite and move on to other AddOns. But, i like the idea of Carbonite and there is no other AddOn which can sort the QuestLog by distance and display a Route to my Quest Destination. But i am pretty sure, that if anyone would ever use MobMap Data to sort the QuestLog by distance and display Routes to the Quest Destinations, as Carbonite it already does, Carbonite would loose a huge amount of it's Userbase.

I use nearly 200 different AddOns (no joke...) at the same time, when i play WoW. I look everyday for new AddOns and Updates (i have my Tools for this, like Website Watcher f.e. ;-) ) and i am a "hobby'ist" Programmer my self (but too lazy to write my own AddOns...). That's why i think, i have enough knowledge to ask for some Carbonite enhancements, with the hope, that this will make it's future even more bright. :-)

And again: I extended my Subscription today. So please dont think, that i am one of those people, who say: "Make it so, or i will never pay for this ... again!" I am really a fan of Carbonite and recommend it to every player i meet.

Here is my whish list in no special order:

• Integrate MobMap into Carbonite Quest Log, History and Database
• Color Punks in PunkList depending on Class (automatically, if possible)
  
• Personalise Rightclick Phrases in BGs (so we can make localise them by our self)
  
• Timer Bars for Battleground Targets (like in Deadly Boss Mods AddOns)
• Auto Turn in for Battleground Objectives (like in AlarBGHelper)
• Assign Target Symbols to Punks via RightClick Menu in Punk List
  
• InGame Notepad (with the abillity to share Notes)
• Automatically share Gathering Information between Carbonite User (distribute via AddOn Channel)
• Collect Gather Info, distributed by GathererAddOn Users
• Create Farming Routes, like the AddOn Routes does

 Also I am in the same boat with you. I have at least 150+ Addons. MobMap, Cartographer, and Carbonite are a few of the addons that I use daily.

 I also have alot of other usefull addons but it would take over an hour to sit down and list what I have and why they are usefull. So I will just list two others that everyone should have.

Tradeskill Info and Tradeskill Info UI. You need them both as the Tradeskill Info addon is the database and Tradeskill Info UI is the GUI that makes it all work together. Tradeskill Info allows you to quickly look up any crafted item with a shift right click on the crafted item or one of the items used to make that crafted item. You can also click on the trade skill info button on your mini map or in fubar or type /tsi menu.

The other must have is Talented and Talented_Data. Again one is the GUI and the other addon is the database behind it. Talented is a Talent management addon that allows you to create different talent specs and save them as templates you can then apply these templates with a single click of a button. Its very usefull if you are a hybrid class like a druid or shaman and are asked on occassion to switch specs for a raid. Also it can hook into the inspect function and copy the other users talent build. So if you see one that works well you can save it for later an then try it on your toon.

 Favorites is Carbonite's Routes.  You can make a favorite route using your current known nodes manually.  Granted, there needs to be a way to import Route's, uh...routes into the Favorites database.

i had a lot of problems to translate the english quests of carbonite because my english i not so good (  you already read it  =O) it hope a german translation of the questdatabase  can be intigrated.

same with the Mobmap.
i find the Mobmap is a very good addon  . quick and helpfull and in german language   . i hope its possible to intigrate a german language pack  or translation ( or the Mobmap )  into carbonite soon.

i love the carbonite addon because  a much if interesting  needfull stuff inside  but it can be a litte bit better  ;o).

Create Routes manually? You should really take a look into Routes.

This one does a perfect job with this. It does not only create roundtrip routes by building up lines from one place to the next, it can also group so called nodes and create perfect roundtrips which prevent you from walking/flying a single yard more then needed.

And you can select which kind of Minerals/Chests/... you would like to add to your routes. You can color your routes. Create multiple Routes. Exclude Regions from your Routes. Hide Routes. Recreate them with very few clicks if needed. And much more.

It really does a perfect job.

BTW: I've tried the Favorites Feature, but found it too hard to handle, compared to other AddOns. Why can't Carbonite simply collect any kind of Drop/NPC/Place/... and give us a Database (in English & German) we could search/filter/... ? MobMap f.e. does exactly this and is very easy to handle. And MobMap is at the moment an unbeatable addition to your questlog. I can imagine to play without Carbonite (as i do it at the moment) but i would NEVER play without MobMap. This does not mean that Carbonite does not do a good job with the features it offers today ;-)

I've asked about this too when the info windows were coming out. I'd really use this but until then I've got a section in my Favorites devoted to jotting down notes.

Target Symbols = Star, Skull, and so on.. Don't know, how they are called in WoW Slang ;-)

Share Gather Locations: Via the same channel, we share Punk Locations and all the other stuff.

 On the "share gather locations" idea, I had a thought:

  As a non-herbalist, I would be more than happy if other carbonite users were informed whenever I moused over an herb.  Sure, it doesn't happen all that much, but if something blinked on my screen to indicate that some non-miner using Carbonite just found a Khorium vein, I would totally feign death and fly full speed straight to the spot no questions asked. :)

 so sharing more than just where they've seen it previously, but where it is now, basically...
