Minimap zoom - changing at what range it switches to close-view?

hey, i bought this addon a few weeks ago and i must say i'm quite happy with it, there's only 1 thing though, I dont like my minimap to be too big.

In order to see my whole tracking area when flying around and have the minimap zoomed in so that it looks like the actual terrain and now the map ( when you zoom in close enough the texture changes ) I have to expand the map bigger than what i'd want it to be...

My question was, is there a way to modify the zoom distance in the minimap that makes it switch from 1 to another ( from the normal map to the zoomed in normal terrain minimap )  I'd like to be able to be zoomed a bit more out but still see the same zoomed in texture.

A last question too, is it normal that when tracking, i will see something on my map sometimes, but not on my minimap ( even if i stretch my minimap waaaaaaay out ) <--- tested this. It seems like the tracking radius is not the same on the minimap and the map =/

I hope this made some kind of sense.

Right click a non icon area of map. Select "Scale...". Decrease the "Details At Scale" slider.

Not sure I follow. The minimap has the normal Blizzard dots on it and is placed inside the Carbonite map. The minimap has size limitations, so the dots on it will not extend past the minimap circle. The Carbonite map icons have no range limit and are drawn anywhere on the map including on top of the minimap. The docked minimap is different in that it is completely on top of the Carb map, so if you made it full size, it will cover the Carb icons.
