i keep having a message popping up saying  *sendchatmessage(): chat meesage must be UTF -8 text

really annoying lol

 here wow just crashes when loading carbonite

 if i leave carbonite, the game works

Same here, wow logs me out with carbonite active, but its ok without it

 After updating game up to 2.4.2 at included carbonite game brakes, both frequent lags and disconnect server.

 dunno why, but now it works fine ^^

With Carbonite enabled since the 2.4.2 patch my screen freezes and then I disconnect. This happened both before and after I updated Carbonite.

This was posted in another thread and has fixed the problem for many users: 

Several people have emailed as well about having disconnects. I have looked at all the change notes and see no changes that should cause that.

The common fix for this in the past has been to delete (or rename) the Carbonite.lua (and .bak) file in WTF/Account/<name>/SavedVariables directory. That will reset all your Carbonite settings (window locations, warehouse data, completed quest history) so only do that as a last resort.

I found this more drastic way of resetting the UI on the WoW forums:

"Can you try resetting your Interface by moving the Interface and WTF folders out of your World of Warcraft folder? You can move them somewhere else like your desktop. When you start up WoW again, the Interface and WTF folders will be recreated."

You could then install Carbonite after that and see if the disconnects still happen.

Unfortunately the WoW forums are filled with people with all manner of problems. The major downfall of PC gaming; all the different hardware and software configurations.
